So I downloaded some movies for my flight to Glasgow because I thought it would nice to have that so I can watch movies while waiting in transit and stuff like that. However these movies I downloaded from a torrent site. Could my *** end up in some scottish jail for having some movies like this on my laptop?

Lol.. I don't think so. Unless you give them a reason, like surfing child porn.. I don't see it being a problem. They shouldn't assume it's downloaded, and besides you could have the original DVD. I don't think custom's are too concerned with pirated material, they have more important things to worry about.. like.. bombs and crying babies! From my knowledge, RIAA doesn't have any employees working the airports lol

I wouldn't worry about it. I travelled for 6 weeks overseas with a netbook loaded with media to keep me entertained.

All I ever had to do was at customs was to turn it on, to prove it was in fact a laptop.

truecrypt + a second password for plausible deniability

Also, don't leave your file names "Star.Wars.DVDRIP.xvid.Axxo.avi"... rename them

You'll like Scottish jail though. ;)

Just rename your stuff to something obscure and take away the file extensions. You really think some customs agent is gonna snoop through your laptop for 7 hours trying to find Batman Forever and Pirates of the Caribbean?

No, but he might spend a few hours looking for "Midgets and Donkeys Gone Wild III".
(I sure would!)
