going to Killarney for first time on SS.

I am planning on going to Killarney on Victoria long weekend. Will leave early and come back the same day. Bike is SS. I was wondering if there are enough gas stations on the way or i have to carry extra gas with me. This is my first long ride and probably a start of my long rides on ss, since city riding is getting boring.

I have already bought a magnetic tank bag since I don't want to carry back pack.

any experience rider(s) would please chime in??

There is one gas station before you enter. Which way are you coming from? South?

Make sure you gas up before. Plus I'm not sure the marina has high octane gas.

Go for a hike if you can. Its really pretty there.

Ps. It will get cold as you head north & close to the water. I remember one year I took the cage & went for a hike on Victoria day, was chilly. I'd go in july if I was you

Another tip, stay off the road after dark I saw a bear on the road the last time.

Keep in mind everything closes after sunset. Buy your food before thing closes. I learnt that the hard way & end up eating crab apples for dinner lolz

i am going from toronto.
 
Road to Killarney last season. There is a gas station at the outfitters, a few kms outside of the main town. Other than that, I stopped at Parry Sound for gas (halfway) and that was it.

Oh, my friend caught a 3 1/2 nail in his tire on Killarney road, a few kms off of the highway. Dunno if that was a one-off, or a common thing. Had to wait for hours for the CAA guy to come get his bike, and we had to get a new tire and tube in Sudbury, what a pain...

The tank bag will help your fatigue. When I was doing the ride I would fold my left arm over the tank bag with my fist near my right shoulder, and rest my head on the arm. I then had my right elbow resting on my knee and just ate the kms. Good times. Probably looked foolish to cagers
 
repeat, do not ride at night, dusk or dawn. Deer, Bear & Moose are everywhere.

i have also invested into a cheap cruise control. Will be helpful on long straight stretches.

I will be leaving very early like 7ish. Google shows 4 hours. Will be there probably by 1 with all the breaks. leave from there 4. So i guess i will be ok.
