There is a leather shop down on Queen or King West in downtown Toronto called The Sandalman. Correct me if I'm wrong on the title but I've seen his ads on the back of TTC buses saying "all kinds of leather repair." I've never been but do have a pair of gloves that need new palms. Your thread has me thinking about it again...
I've got the same issue with the right hand of my icon leather shorty. Fingers on that glove have skinny, inch-long extensions that look like witch fingers. I asked a dry cleaner/alterations place if they could fix it and they just shook their heads. I might attempt it myself but not sure what kind of thread to use. For now I've just flipped the ends of those fingers inside out but the tips look like damn sphincters.
