Getting around traffic

I did something new (to me) yesterday.

I normally take Bremner to Spadina to get on the Gardiner to get home.
Yesterday, for some reason I don't understand, traffic was a complete snarl, and only about one or two vehicles was getting through the left turn onto Spadina per green signal. After about ten minutes of sitting beside Skydome, only moving a few car lenghts, I killed the motor, pushed it up onto the sidwalk, and walked the bike all the way to the Gardiner on-ramp. I got a few weird looks at me huffing and puffing in my gear and was sweating like an idiot, but I figure I easily saved myself a half hour.

I'm assuming you're talking about lane filtering. It's probably because most people aren't willing to take the CHANCE of getting hit with HTA172.

Lol... So I guess ur the guy I pass and when I'm sitting on the couch watching tv ur still sittin in traffic good for u. Ya it's a risk but just have to be as "smart" and cautious as possible when doing it. Sure it's not for everyone and neither is riding with a t shirt or going 200+ km so everyone should just ride as they ride and forget the bs judging and wineing about others
