I watch people travel at the speed of light every time I chop one in a crowded room.

Interesting, though the technique of creating a composite image out of multiple discrete shots is not new. The breakthrough here is the engineering of a camera with a shutter speed fast enough to capture frames on the order of femto-seconds and the software used to analyze that data. I am impressed that the image is so crisp.

I watch things travel at the speed of light every time I flick the switch.
No you don't you see the reflection of light off of objects travelling at much slower speeds than lights'.

I don't doubt it.

Pretty cool technology and I am sure it will have more benefits down the road as well. I can imagine that we will definately improve our understanding of light and waves of that nature. I'd be curious to see the slow motion of light refracting through a diamond.

this is beautiful!

Well if you could see things at speed of light basically what that means is that you will live forever. Seasons will take centuries to change, and you could [possibly] see future. I mean an event that takes one second might take years!!!!

Physics is freaking awesome!
