gear indicator anyone? | GTAMotorcycle.com

gear indicator anyone?

Had a gi pro couple years back. Waste of 200$ imo, although you never attempt to shift into 7th gear with one lol

Has anyone used PZRacing or a GI-pro gear indicator?

Im looking into putting one onto my bike.

Hahaha it's funny cause it's true lol

I'd just get disciplined on what each gear feels like, you can tell by the response whether you need to go up a gear or drop one.

A tight track that is mainly 2/3rd gear you may forget where you are in the gearbox but really how busy are you gonna be on the street?

I built one for my bike and I find it's just really nice to have. Sure, you could keep track of what gear you're in, but sometimes it's nice to not have to think about it and just look at your dash to find out.

Yep. I just want the ease of use by looking at a dash number lol.

Trying to make this season easy for my self

I would agree for track is necessary but for street I wouldn't spend the money. Not like you care about losing a few 10ths of a second when exiting the turn in the wrong gear.

Save yourself the hassle and buy a gsxr. Already there for you. Lol.
yea but no Gas indicator. If I had to chose i would pick the gas indicator on a street bike

i just got the PZRacing plug and play one. havent used it yet, i just plugged it in last night but i still have to calibrate it.
screen is nice, one thing i dont like(and its not a big deal) is you have to use a ground wire ad tap it on the frame of the bike to enter calibration ode or screen colour change...really why couldnt they just put a little button on the side of the unit?

i had 1 on my old bike. its nice to have so if you are just cruising around on the highway and want to drop to a specific gear you know exactly where you are.

You get used to it (had a GS500, now a GSXR). At least the GSXR has a fuel light and if you reset your trip meter ever fill up you'll have a general idea of how much gas is left. The GS500 didn't have a fuel light...I ran to empty once :(

Likely beneficial for new(er) riders.
