FZR400 Headlight options

Hi guys,

I have an 89 FZR400 and the headlights are way too dim! The OEM bulbs are H4 35W and I am looking to upgrade. I tried replacing them with 55W bulbs but that killed the battery. I don't want to change the actual headlights so I am looking for suggestions on how to upgrade the lighting.

thanks,
nigel

You can go with this 35 watt kit: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/120878164075

Or, if you upgrade all of your stator to R/R to battery wires and connectors (don't use the plastic connectors, use individual female spade connectors on each wire and plug directly into the R/R), probably this 55 watt kit: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/120827919912

If you want to SERIOUSLY upgrade how much light your bike puts out, and it's possible for you to open up the actual headlights: http://eshop.ktautopart.com/motorcycle-hid-projector/hid-projector-for-dual-lights/kt-mt5.html (if you are tight on space to fit a projector inside your headlights, you might need the shorter projector, only available up to 35 watt: http://eshop.ktautopart.com/motorcycle-hid-projector/hid-projector-for-dual-lights/kt-mt2d.html ). Take a bulb out and measure from the bulb mount face to the front of your headlight lens to determine what/if you can fit a projector in there.

Make sure every kit you order is 4300k, 4500k or worst case 5000k.

Hey There, I Also Have A Few Questions On This Topic, Not Totally Sure On Were My Bike Is From Or How To Find That Info But It Is An 89 Fzr 400 That Was Used As A Track Bike, And Has Dual SealEd HeadLights, And I Would Like To Convert It To A Single 7" Light. Question Is, With It Ruining As A Single Bulb Can I RuN A Higher Watt Bulb? Without Pushing The Electrical System...

I've Read If You Push The Wattage To Much Things In The Changing System Start To Fail, which No One Wants ForObvious Reasons. Any Help Would Be Great Thanks.
