Most likely undersized for the load. Doesn't mean that the issue is with the furnace itself.. Could be the tin (bad ducting restricting the air flow) or a loose envelope (poorly insulated premises).
Nope....my furnace runs of maybe 10minutes in the hour, on low stage. 95% efficiency dual stage 3 year old.
unless you live in a shoe box, I call BS

Presently googling in-wall gas heaters. Rather than replace old first floor window, will install heater for next winter. First floor is brutal in this cold.
You're right...Dammit i hate being caught in a lie on the internet, where you know, i base all my lifes happiness on being able to over accomplish through lies and deceit.
Its currently 11:08 am, i just went and checked thermostat, since midnight, when it resets, its showing a usage of 2:49min. Thats how long the thermostat was calling for heat. Of that, first two minutes are the fan running without actual burners firing. The thermostat is programmed that if it calls for heat longer than 10 minutes it will fire second stage at higher heat and blower setting. Only time it goes into second stage is in the morning when i like to bump up the temp during wake up time. So 10 minutes may have been a bit over exaggerated, but 15 minutes sounds about right.
We live in a two storey, 3 bedroom, 1500sq/ft house.
Just to add, while i was typing this response the furnace fired again. New thermostat reading of 2:53 usage. Furnace was actually burning for 2min of that. I will report back when it fires again.
If the window is the culprit, replace it. Brake is still available.
Ya think all that concrete helps keep it cold(er)?
Concrete, no insulation in walls, old style windows and poor furnace location/ducting all conspire for floor to floor stratification. But I've never seen it this cold yet. I think it's mostly this new weather.
