Welcome to Australia, circa 1996... They have been using this for nearly two decades now and it seems to suit their beach loving lifestyle. No longer do surfers have to worry about pooching their cash when they go for a rip. What they do better, and I wish Canada would adopt, is the varying size of each domination. Banknote size is based on currency value (smaller value equals smaller note). It makes it very easy to distinguish notes when hammered..

If you can distinguish notes when hammered, you're not hammered.

I personally hate the idea of different size bills. Same size bills makes it easier for me to fold all the bills together.
 
that new bill is awesome. Now i can swim and snowboard with my bills with out worry :)
I hope they bring back the 2 and 1 dollar bills.
