funny carb problem here

i have the carbs refetted to 40/125 and running with 2 washers

i found it a bit too rich and sluggish in the recent heat and decided to go down to one washer. so i opened the cap took out a washer made sure the oring did not drop put back and the bike idles but can give any throttle it dies.

i went back to 2 washers... and even no washers and same thing... idles but cant give no throttle?

any advice? thanks
 
no its all good. i pulled the carbs and cleaned the jets just in case. they were clean anyways... now i am having a hard time getting the carbs back on.. specifically the carb intake boots to sit on the carb and the air intake (2 hours no luck)

"when" i get these back on i will fire it back up and see how it goes. i am a bit baffled.
 
Can be a real bugger to get them to seat. A hair dryer on low will warm and soften the rubbers for easier mounting, a breath of ep2 grease help to slide them in.
