Fun with Cranes.

lol... No idea why the guy didn't have the crane backed up right next to the house so he didn't have all that leverage out there on the boom once he had it extended... Basic crane knowledge.

I used to operate a 25tonne boom crane for Superior Propane and we did some lifts over houses etc of large tanks. Never did we go past the limitations for weight/angle/extension that are written right on the side of the crane.
We did get some close situations tho, always fun when you're working with explosive liquid/gas!

That's cool, I've seen it before. Used to run tower cranes back in the mid 90's but had to take all of the training for mobile cranes to get my license. The operator was clearly extended past his farthest point. Although you can extend the boom all the way out and have it all the way down that is with no weight at all and the farther out and down you go the amount of weight you can carry decreases drastically..... Rambling on, sorry....Too much weight, too far extended, too far down...boom goes boom..... rmemedic is right , didn't follow the chart placed in every cab to give you maximum capacities at maximum reach.

Yeah he must not have paced that one out too good. Kind of strange that he started scoping out that late? Hope he learned something that day.
