Hmm.. Interesting. So I have been looking a lot into full system exhaust to replace mine. And I have already ordered one, BUT I only just found thisout now from Two-Bro's website regarding street legal-ness.

This is what it says.
Are aftermarket exhaust systems street legal?
A. No, a common misconception is that some aftermarket systems are legal while others are not. Currently no City, State or Federally approved motorcycle aftermarket exhaust system exists in the U.S. market. Our exhaust systems are for racing purposes only.

Is that a bad thing? I mean, my bike already came with it installed and a I know a lot of guys running bikes with full systems.

Will this be an issue? Has anyone had an issue with the law because of this?

I guess I should have done more research before making the decision to place my order in, But shiet!!!

No one cares if you have an aftermarket pipe here. All pipe manufacturer s have that disclaimer so they don't get sued.

Just don't ride near Caledon and Oakville, they have noise bylaws now.

From the testing a few riders did, unless the system is obnoxiously loud it would pass. I remember hearing a few 2bro's systems passed.

They do random checks in caledon all the time. Thank the cruiser loud pipes save lives crowd and the idiots who ride forks of the credit at 10k plus rpm for that.

Have you ever been pulled over for a random check? Do they have a decibel meter to test how loud it is?

My feeling is that these are probably very easy to beat in court .. just my opinion

I haven't because I just avoid the area like the plague. That said I've been there without the bike and seen them doing the checks. Yes they have a meter. They wave you into a parking area and test. I forget what the limit is but if you're 1 db over ticket it is

I'm at 10k plus rpm all the time I ride..I just can't get enough of the buzzing. I've never had an issue anywhere although I still have the stock exhaust. Worst case..use a silencer.

Holy crap Lol. Forks is bad, you cant even enjoy that place anymore.

Last summer I took my car there, and there were just so many bikes there and slow SUV drivers everywhere. Only time I can get a good forks run in is on a weekday morning lol but aint no body got time fo dat!

There are some pretty good twistys up around Orillia and Gravenhurst area. Pretty far drive but the only 2 times I've ever been... I would say it was well worth the trip for a good rip lol.

The joy of night shifts. Hockley road and river road are perfect mid week when no one is around. Forks sucks even then.

From what I've heard they shove a stick into your exhaust first to see if you have a baffle.

when they do the sound test, make sure they are measuring 1m away from the exhaust tip as the intensity varies greatly depending on distance. I believe standard measurements are done at a distance of 1 meter from the sound source.

like most by-laws, a few knuckleheads has made it hard for the rest of us. Aftermarket exhaust is pretty much "illegal" , however ride responsibly in residential areas or places where your known to be nuisance and it's almost never a problem.

I live in Port Dover, bike capital of the world on Friday the 13th. If there's a restriction on noise levels for motorcycles, the OPP definitely doesn't enforce it. Harley's will damn near deafen you when they slowly drive by but you'll never see one pulled over around here.

The area economy relies too much on bikes, 13th and other times in the season. OPP would have too much backlash from business to enforce in Dover.

At the Forks and some others areas local economies would much rather have business from other than the bike crowd

They're posted up at the roads into the town every friday 13th, listening for the major offenders.
