Fuel Stabilizer Question

This is my final week of riding this December so before i rode home from work this afternoon i put some stablizer into the tank. I put in the prescribed amount, then fired the bike up and let it idle for a bit before riding home.

I don't know if it was just because it's a bit warmer today than yesterday, but it seemed like the bike rode smoother and had more power than it's had in the previous couple of weeks. Is that possible? I was expecting it to ride a bit more weak considering the fuel is somewhat watered down now with the stabilizer. Did i just imagine it rode better?

I'm no expert, but I have read a couple things:

1) the stabilizer itself is flammable, and so you're not "watering down" the fuel, per se. The stabilizer itself is a fuel.
2) stabilizers have been said to get rid of moisture in the tank which is absorbed by ethanol additives in the fuel. Many people complain that fuel today is of poor quality, which is improved by additives like stabilizers or Seafoam, etc.

Many riders (myself included) add something like Seafoam to every other tank or so to help keep the carbs clean. Stabilizer claims to do something similar.

charlie has it right, just remember to drain the carbs, lube the chain and charge the battery with a tender.
