Hi, yeah, had few questions from a few people.. here goes:
I would expect the battery to be down now as it has been pulled from my bike for 4+ weeks. I think the battery will last up to 2 weeks otherwise. There is a deepsleep mode. Have to check the Rlink support site.
The subscription allows you to connect the alarm to the cell network (Telus in Canada I believe) . There are no extra data charges if you go to the US. The SIM Card is built into the unit. When you contact RLink they enable it for you. Very Easy.
I turned the service on for the Summer, and off in the winter when the bike was stored with its battery pulled.
In fact, I create a "GEO-Fence" on the map system, so when I ride to the US, and go through the border, or a certain town, the system will trigger and send and email/txt message to my family so they know I arrived ok etc. Saves having to call.

Its great to track your rides and view the bike data on speed/location etc
There is very little drain on the bike's battery. You can even unplug the siren so to have a "silent alarm" that will ping you if its triggered. No one will be the wiser.. if you hide the module well. (good place is behind the body fairings if you can.)
1) selling because my bike was written off. I was able to recover the alarm. Unsure if I am getting another bike at this moment.
2) Although I had a stock alarm in my old bike, the RLINK's alarm is WAY louder than it, and also WAY louder than the Scorpio i900 Alarm. Trust me!!
Also, great alarm to have if you park on the street.. WAY WAY Loud so to get attention (maybe someone will grab the licence plate of the car knocking your bike over) and will page your cellphone within seconds - Main reason I got it wasnt for theft, but to stop hit-and-runs in parking lots/street.
