I was heading north on Jarvis to fill up at the PetroCanada on Richmond. I make a right turn into the gas station. Like a deer out of the woods, a women on my left runs into the side/front off my bike. I grab a hand full of front break, she puts her hands out, pushes on my left mirror and front cowl and takes a step back. With the extra push from her I couldn't hold the bike upright. I end up gently setting my bike on it right side. She bounced off my bike and keeps running until she saw me set the bike down. She stopped and quickly says sorry and asks if I'm ok. I don't think I really responded. All I cared about is getting my bike upright. As I'm picking the bike. I looked up and she has continued running across the gas station east onto Richmond.
A guy on a black GSX-R1000 was at the pump at the time but didn't see what happened. He just saw me walking my bike to the side after I had picked it up. (If your on here. Thanks, I appreciated you coming over.)
Really don't know how it all happened or where she came from. Sidewalk was clear when I made the turn and I was fully off the side walk and heading to a pump when she came out of nowhere. Only thing I can come up with is that there was a cop car with his lights on parked just after the entrance to the gas station talking to a guy on a bicycle. She could of been standing with them and took off running from there to get someone(She seemed distressed and in a hurry.) The fact that she wasn't yelling at me for not watching out for pedestrians makes me think I wasn't a neglectful motorist. Who knows, this is Canada, people apologize for everything.
Good news, just a small scratch on the crankcase cover and exhaust.
Time to start wearing my gopro so I can go back and see what happened in situations like this.
