From passing thought to reality in three weeks...

Sorry carlos for stealing your thread's name, but this was my thought EXACTLY.

Anyhoo, I've been wanting a bike since I was 18 year old (I'm 27 now). About 3 weeks ago, my company hired a guy with a CBR1000RR. Needless to say, that reignited something in me and made me start looking at cool paint jobs and gear. Little did I know that this was a downward spiral...and a very dangerous one at that.

A week later, I wrote my M1 and passed. I then started asking people for connection to dealerships, etc just to see how much a bike would be for fun - not planning on buying or anything. Eventually, someone who works for Acura connected me with a dealership, so I was bored on a weekend (this past weekend, in fact) and went to check out bikes and gear...Ended up financing a bike and all the gear.

I'm a new owner of a CBR500RA in black. Waiting to take my RTI training course on June 15-16 before I hop on the bike. I'm excited!

Congrats! Sweet ride.

Congrats! I thought it was going to say CBR600RR and not taking the course. Great decisions in regards to both. :)

Well done. I think the new cbr500 is a great bike (much better than the hideous 600). You'll have some fun for sure

No worries about stealing my thunder! Happy to see someone partake in a journey similar to mine. The CBR500R for me seemed like the logical choice, as a first time buyer / rider. Hope to see you on the roads!

Welcome!!
