Anyone know what would cause this? Im swapping out a harness and the harness that I want to use has this connector? It connects to the igniter. I don't know the condition of the igniter it was attached to or the condition of the bike for that matter. I was considering putting a new connector or taking one off another harness and splicing it in.

Unclip the individual connectors from the plastic and clip them separately into the mating half. You unclip them using a small plain blade screwdriver.

Water is a likely suspect.
Here was Ducati’s version:
Lost my headlight on a ride yesterday, found out why. Cutting/soldering in progress. Apparently this is common enough on this model, chalking it up to that "Italian charm" I was prepared for.

I removed the cooked connector and replaced with one from a different harness. The connectors inside looked good and I cleaned them just in case. My precision screw drivers weren't releasing the connectors so I used a smaller cable tie and that did the trick!

Cable tie?? I'll try to remember that trick.

I have in the past cut out the connector and just hard wired (soldered) the connections.
Then just hope that doesn't need to come apart again while you own it.
