Free Parking Downtown?

I never ride downtown because of the traffic but i had to make a trip today and want to know where motorcycles can park for free.

I've seen them about everywhere, but am not sure what would get you a ticket and what wouldn't.

For example...can you park on the side of the street for free where the pay tolls are?

There's many threads on this topic - try searching the site.

In a nutshell: Any street parking with a "green P" pay-and-display ticket system is free for bikes, in city of Toronto (not true for the rest of the GTA).

^^^ Not to be confused with a Green P parking lot.

Basically anywhere on the street where a car can park, including where a car needs to have a ticket or a paid meter.

any metred spot on the street is free for bikes. depending on the street, take note of the times permitted. ie on more main streets, you are not allowed to park at all during rush hour. you will get towed.

side streets are your best bet.
