Fraud is a despicable crime. It targets the weak and they are often to ashamed to report the crime.
I have a problem in that a friend has specifically told me to keep my nose out of his situation. Unfortunately he is dyslexic and goes in circles with paperwork. While he knows he's dyslexic he doesn't accept that the present situation is over his head.
He is paying someone to investigate what is basically a clerical error. Everything that needs to be known is already on a piece of paper. Dirty laundry is irrelavent.
Procrastination is a common side effect of dyslexia and lawyers are getting tired of his delays in answering questions. This problem goes back about six years.
The police basically say talk to a lawyer.
I have no say in the game so all I can do is stand by and watch him get screwed. He's a decent honest guy and I have to sit and watch his situation go down the toilet.
