France Shooting

Read an article years ago about the French in Africa..they were doing some kind of peacekeeping or something, can't remember where, with UN forces or with the US or Canada..basically, the UN people were asking people, then yelling and screaming and begging people to do things. The French, having been in Africa for a long time, spoke once then shot anybody who didn't listen and continued to do what they were being told not to. Basically, we mean business. Not sure that was the best policy, but that was their way of doing business!! :-)

I won't doubt that info, I can't remember, but there were a plane hijacking in the early 80's I think and the hijackers wanted some fuel to fly back to their home country. The French end up storming the plane and shooting all the terrorists. Not sure how much casualties their were.

But my point is, they French are not too good at negotiating :D
Maybe they're tired of ppl calling them sissies from WWII

Yes and how many of you would want to live in a former french colony?

Not sure of my logic but under their Code Napoleon isn't a person guilty until proven innocent. If you execute the guilty they can't prove their innocence. Twisted.

They should have just sent in a platter of cheese, and this whole thing could have ended peacefully..

the French wanted him alive to see who his accomplices were and any information he had about Al Queda. But suiciding from a window knowing you're going to die and still be shooting this guy had too much hatred in him. I think he was from Algeria so whatever the French did over there must have been bad.
