lol, well thought out and executed robbery... probably a good idea in carry states to check if the clerk has a visible holster before attempting robbery
 
Pretty sure the thief was high or drunk and could have been disarmed by a disabled raccoon using a bag of marshmallows.

....which by the looks of him is what he probably thought had happened.

Would that be because we report our crime more like the US or more like the UK (who apparently according to someone reports more in their violent crime rates than the US)
 
I'm glad we can not carry guns, we'd go down Detroit way. Don't wanna worry while I'm in downtown Toronto that any yahoo can come up with 9mm and demand my wallet.
Whenever I wanna shoot ***** I just go to Vegas, spend $300-400 and blast my little heart away.

There are no carry laws in Detroit, that's why it's such a **** hole. Only criminals who have (and carry) guns illegally are going to hold you up for your wallet. If he was just going to shoot you anyway (no witnesses), wouldn't you rather have a gun to defend your life? How about if a passer by had a gun and saved your life? That's why we need carry laws, for LESS (illegal) guns on the street ;)

does anyone know why a veteran would get a job as a cashier? with the skills of an veteran you would think he'd get a high paying job working as security for CEOs, celebs and etc

If he didn't have any non-combative skills before enlisting, he didn't gain any after. These guys are more likely to be lethal than a chilled-out guard with 20+ years experience. Don't want him pulling a gun on someone taking a photo thinking it was a muzzle flash.

It's possible he was a cashier before shipping out.
