Forks of the Credit conditions

I was just there and the conditions are pretty good.

Very few occasions of road debris or gravel, and the speed bumps haven't been set up yet. :p

There are a few sections that are wet from the melting snow but otherwise it's all good.

I was considering a run down there as I was riding along Hockley Valley Road this afternoon. BTW, Hockley is also in good shape, hardly any sand to speak of all the way between Highway 10 and the village. Might have to take a ride down to the Forks in the next few days, providing the weather co-operates.

It felt great to get the bike out of hibernation and go for a short warm-up ride before the oil change.

Oh yes!!

I forgot the make a thread regarding Hockley. I rode it today too and it was great.

Why would you even try to "fly over" those speed bumps if there is a giant flat space right in the middle of each bump???

I didn't actually mean "flying". I meant it can go over speed bumps quite quickly without impacting the ride much.

Save the life on your poor forks and shock and avoid the speed bumps alltogether.

I was quite relieved to see that the speed bumps at forks had large spaces to go inbetween

Yeah, but it's still a pain when you get behind a row of cars that slow to an almost standstill one at a time as they go over the humps.

Keep it sane on these roads we like to ride. Give residents as little as possible to complain about

I am not saying go crazy. When there is a line-up of cars stopped to go over those speed bumps and no one approaching - you can clearly see as these speed bumps are at long straight stretches - pass them then.

The twisty bit of Mississauga Road north of FOTC Road has more than usual amount of sand in the southbound lane.

I hate that bit.

When are they gonna repave it.

Came home that way tonight. That road is covered in sand and yes it needs new pavement badly. I wouldn't even bother riding it.
