What car is it? Found it in a folder on my computer, took it a few years ago on my way down to Florida @ a gas station in Toronto:

He is filling up on natural gas, from what I remember it is a custom 1 off and not a kit car (which is why I asked).

Yes. Motion Concept Vehicles CH4. Born in Mississauga from what I remember.

Mclaren? The title says for "those who know cars" but in all fairness this is a motorcycle forum :)

Maclaren has a center seat for driving, the steering wheel on that is off to the left.

I used to see McLaren's when I lived in WeHo, all of them had 2 seats. Maybe a racing version has a centre seat, but not the street versions. One weekend I saw 3 of them, none had the centre seat.

Maclaren F1 all have centre driving position. There could be other Maclaren vehicles you saw but, they were not the F1.

F1s have 3 seats. Driver's seat is center, passenger seats are offset behind to the side of the driver's seat. It is the only car with perfect stereo imaging (and all the Kenwood audio gear in them have carbon fiber chassis/faceplates). What you probably saw in Hollyweird was the new MP4-12C. They are conventional 2 seaters. The F1s are not road legal in the US, and just became legal here in Canada last year.
