So after installing my intergrated tail lights, i started to put back the rear fairings and after i was done. Snap the seat back on....

then OH SHEEETTTTT!! locked out of my trunk... LOL
i forgot to snap the trunk cable back into place because it was attached to my rear fairing earlier so i had to disconnect it inorder to get a better angle to install my lights..

began to panic because my tools + photocopy of my insurance and ownership was in there so if i get pulled over im screwed!

lifted my rear seat up just enough to slide something small in there

so ran into my house and cut up a coat hanger and bent the front of it into a small S hook using plysers (the giant S on the coat hangers was too big to slide it into place correctly)

using my new trunk unlocking tool, i used the flash light from my phone to attempt to unlock my trunk

10 mins later of tests i finally found the sweet spot where it would hook to the unlocking mechanism. gave it a nice pull

and..... the damn thing slipped off the lever haha. after another 2 tries of it i was finally able to unlock the trunk using a slow pull so it wouldnt slip off the lever before i had pulled the lever far enough to unlock the trunk

phew!! so for all you folks who had a similar issue, the coat hanger trick works great!

Great work buddy !!
and this time it seemed you were lucky enough to get unlocked your self and hope it stays so with all those who get in such situation. As it might be a bit troublesome if you really get into a bad position and you need to get it opened badly for some important thing inside.
