Not local but I have never heard of anything like this. RIP rider.

FHP: Motorcyclist dies after being struck by lightning on I-95 in Volusia

Florida Highway Patrol's Lt. Kim Montes said the motorcyclist was heading south on I-95 when lightning struck the man's helmet and shattered it, causing him to crash.
