Hello everyone, I just picked up my 2010 ninja yesterday and it has about 900 km on it. I can change the oil on my own, but how about the tightening the bolts and other stuff ? i dunno whats included in the first service and i dont wanna pay175$ for the service, when the parts cost about 40$ and 135 is just for half an hour labor. So can anyone please tell what oil to use for 1000 km service on ninja 250r and if you know any mechanic in brampton mississauga area who would service for less ?
Thanks

Do you have the owners manual? http://www.kawasaki-techinfo.net/showOM.php?view_lang=EN&spec=US&book_no=99987-1612&lang_code=EN

Might answer some of your questions.

They say not to switch to synthetic oil right away so just put regular old (motorcycle specific) dyno oil in it (even canadian tire sells it).

Does your manual call for a valve clearance inspection or adjustment at 1000km's? Might not be able to do that yourself.
