Hey guys my bike is having problems again, got an engine into my bike but now all of a sudden it is doing some crap.. it was running fine all day and it still does run all day. but leaving from first gear it does some weird stuff.. the muffler backfires it seems like it is bogging out or something. can anybody help? my friebds told me it could be my carbs got sonething in there or my fuel line with bad gas?

old carbs or new with the engine? disconect the fuel hose from the tap, with a glass jar, swicth the gas tap to reserve and take a sample of gas to see whats in your tank. drain the carb float bowl and set the gas tap to on postion. are the fuel mixture screws plugs drilled out ? set screws 2.5 turns out

Can you still ride the living crap out of it, if yes the go do a good premium gas run or ultra 94 and see If there is any difference.

only use shell v/power, there is no ethinal in this gas . ethinal attracts moisture and will eat your rubber seals, gas lines, diaphrams & 0 rings you will need a carb over haul. to clean out your pilot circut in the carbs

Okay will take some more looks around. looked under the gas tank to see that my air box came off of tje carbs.. I hooked that up and shes running fine, just dealing with battery problems it seems like now ..

+1 to Shell V/Power

I meant a single run, but thanks for the info, I didn't know that.

New problem now.. got a brand new battery and when I start to dlow down my gas light comes on for some reason? Really dim and then I see the tach just go right to zero and the bike gradually just shuts itself off, then it wont start and I have to charge it to get it fired up again.. any suggestions or help?

edit: Misread your post! Just realized you got a new battery.

Lol yeah man, which is what I dont understand.. I just want to ride my bike with no problems like a couple days ago :(

check the charging system. volt meter at battery, rev engine off idle for increase of 12.5 to 14.5 max. if ok, also check ground connections, frame, harness ,engine. get battery load tested, water level ok?

Is that how ai check the charging system? I put a volt meter to the battery at idle and then rev it up? If it goes up my charging system is okay? I had a few looks over the bike and the fuses looked fine..
