Fire Bike

I could have used one of those yesterday at Dundas and East Mall.

Someone tried to set a tree on fire by starting with a cigarette in the mulch near the gas station.

So, I guess the only use is for low level fires...unless they start doing wheelies to aim the hose to high level floors...that would be sweet lolol

It would make sense for vehicle fires on highway. Bike could easily get through traffic which fire trucks can't.

Plus a faster response time. I don't think a firetruck can do 0-100 in less than 3 secs; a top speed of 280km/h

Saves the big crews for big fires. FiReSTaRT approves

LA Fire Dep't had 4 Fire Bikes out this past weekend. They were Kawasaki Versys. With the 405 closed, the Fire Department tested them in case they needed to get someplace quick and a fire truck was delayed.

Don't know all the stuff they had loaded on them, but they did look cool.
