I cleared the contents off my SD card before I realised there was a video I wanted to save.

I'm looking for a free (or cheap) file recovery program that can find MP4 files and recover them using my Win 7 PC.

I've tried a ton of them and the only one that seems to work is Pareto Logic but they want $55!

Good tip, thanks, but it didn't find any files.

Tried EaseUS and it finds the files but it will only recover 1GB for free and my vid is 3GB so they want $60 :(

Any other suggestions out there?
 
Sorry to hear. It worked every time for me so far. You have an option to check for specific files or for anything recoverable. Try selecting video files.

Also, it always displayed all the files for me, even the non-recoverable ones.

I use easy recovery software ...... From lenovo ... It's awesome I lost a whole hard drive data and ran this tool and all of a sudden all the porn that was deleted was there again .... Not cool :(
 
No luck. Tried everything I could find for free all weekend. Here are my results;

DiskDigger
- Doesn't support MP4, tried M4V as a close substitute but the 'sectors' it found had no bearing on the size of the original files.

Restoration
- Doesn't perform a "deep" search.

PC Inspector File Recovery
- Found the files, allowed me to save them to another drive, but files aren't useable. I'm pretty sure there was nothing that could cause the deleted files to become corrupt so I'm trying to work with the ones I got here.

Ease US Data Recovery Wizard
- Found the files, allowed 1GB free recovery but file I want is 3GB so I'd need $70 for the full version.

Piriform Recuva
- Couldn't find the files.

eSupport UndeletePlus
- Found the files, they want $40 to recover them.

Recoveronix Free Undelete
- Doesn't perform "deep" search.

Pandora Recovery
- Doesn't support MP4 files.

ParetoLogic Data Recovery
- Found the files, want $55 to recover.
 
Recuva is pretty solid. Make sure to use the deep scan (Takes several hours). Happened to me a month ago when I lost all my Jamaica pictures but a good chunk of those were recovered.
