Fiberglass typically means polyester resin but epoxies are generally better. Depending on your body chemistry you can become sensitized to epoxies so wear gloves etc. Noah's in west Toronto sells all types of resins, fabrics and books although generally geared to boats.

Acetone (used to clean up) eats some types of rubber gloves, make sure you talk to the supplier about the proper safety gear.

I have done some fibreglass work in the past, but am far from an expert, hopefully someone more qualified can give you advice.

For the damage to the tail, I would probably make up an aluminum bar to match the shape and glass it in to the back of the panel to provide support, it may not be necessary though.
