Fender F-512 - Fathers day revisited (and Kashmir)

I thought I'd share this with you; I was fooling around with a guitar my Mom and I bought for my Dad many years ago, a Fender F-512.He never really like the guitar, he found it difficult to keep in tune and play so I bought it from him and lent him a 6 string semi. The Fender has been following me around ever since, unfortunatly it's seen better days, the action is high and the truss rod is seized so it will take some significant work to fix. Still, I put some strings on her and keep playing her to keep her from degrading further (guitars, like pianos and other stringed instruments need to be played regularly. Anyway, I was fooling around with my webcam, picked up that old fender, tuned to DADGAD and the guitars voice immediately suggested Kasmir (an old favourite of mine). For your listening pleasure (but originally in honour of m Dad on Father's day); enjoy!

Very nice...wish I still had a proper drum kit to pound that **** out like Bonham. :)

I say you two get together and make a vid.
Great playing! How long have you been at it?
I play, and I'll make strides forward then work takes me away and then I fall back to where I was before... Hard to keep progressing.

Thanks!

I'm always up for a jam session, family schedule permitting.

As for how long I've been playing, we sound similar. I could say 35yrs but, life often gets very busy.
