Hello fellow riders!
Well I fell down for the first time today while on Hockley Rd. Its my second season. Bike got minor scratches that really made me sad, really :(. I even said sorry to my bike.
The funny thing is that when i was going out for a ride, my brother was like its hot outside you don't need jacket. But I said, "no man, anything can happen, i would rather be extra hot then suffer later on." And i was right, the jacket really saved my life, and the frame sliders my bike :).

I am sure its being iterated over and over again by our fellow riders that wear your gear. Well I would say it again, WEAR YOUR GEAR!!!

AND THANKS TO THAT ONE RIDER WHO STOPPED AND ASKED IF I WAS OK. THATS THE SPIRIT. SALUTE TO YOU!

Great news man. Sometimes when I'm heading out squid style, something tells me to put on gear. Saved my bacon 2 for 2 now!! Had a super super close call a few weeks ago while wearing no gear. Like I'm talking inches from disaster!

See vid in sig.

Glad you're ok. Yes, wear the gear. What's with the sport bike riders in full leathr andt their girl friends in shorts and sandals?

I for one refuse to wear gear because it takes the freedom and flying-feeling when I ride my bike, I just ride carefully. I do wear protective boots though, if I have to dress up like a templar's knight to go riding I might as well as give up my hobby of riding bikes. I'm not putting you down, good for you if you wear your extra gear.

your jacket saved you from some road rash, didn't save your life from the sound of this accident

Yea I saw that crash vid in your sig before. Dood is lucky he didn't flip over the guard rail when he sat down...

I like your thread title "fell down". Not to say that I like falling down, but - glad you had your gear!

in the slo mo you can see dude's sandal go flying over the guardrail, and he almost follows when he gets up.

Another quality post from Pegassus.

To the OP, glad you're okay. From your thread title, I thought you fell BECAUSE of your jacket and frame sliders. =S
