feed back and opinions on this bicycle

Price is too high. shipping cost is crack pipe.

The Lefty fork is awesome. Cannondales are great bikes but they have a funny way of doing a few things which makes getting parts a bit of a hassle sometimes.

That's a lot of monies tho.

Amy Szoke has Jordan's BMC Trail Fox up for sale in the classifieds here.. I'd ride that ;)

+1 wow...that's a lotta change for a someone getting into mountain biking. Perfectly good MTB's available brand new for even hard-core advanced riders for $1500. No shipping.. Great deals in shops now..they're DYING to clear this year's stock..go make a deal. Mark-up is 40% on new bikes..make your bargain.

Ya. The one day blowout thing the local shops all put on every October at the Ex is today, too.

Good luck finding a Scalpel Ultimate for $1500...lol.

The wheelset alone on that bike sells for that new in Canada at a LBS. That bike has a MSRP new of over 9 grand. Very limited availability in Canada. For one of the best cross country race bikes you can buy that is not an unreasonable price. You couldn't buy the frame only new at a Canadian dealer for less.

Yeah the shipping is expensive. Shipping a bike in a bike box is expensive for the general public who doesn't have a deal set up with a courier company.

A tad over-kill and expensive for someone getting into mountain biking. I'n guessing the frame was replaced under warranty. As another has pointed out, you can get a great bike, gently used or a prior year model model for around $1,500. Shipping is reasonable given what bike shops would charge to take down the bike, pack it and ship it. You will need to do some minor reassembly when you receive it, which isn't a big deal. I had one shop in Florida tell me they would only ship to another bike shop in Canada for liability reasons.

thats alot of coin for something you cant ride when it shows up at your door.

theres no freakin pedals ! you'd think the dude would throw in a set of pedals.

it's pretty common for high end bikes to come without pedals.

Yeah, whenever I go overseas and want to ride I pack my pedals and shoes and just swap them when I get there. Love my Sidi's..
