Fedex, ups, purolator?

fwiw, purolator more or less is canada post here in canada
i find that purolator drivers make little to no effort to deliver in person, even if i'm home at the time. you literally have to be there at the door when they try to place the missed call notice on your door. they don't even try to ring the door bell, it's like a stealth courier delivery. . .
arguably that is better than ups, who will just drop your package at the door, regardless of signage or not.
i guess that leaves fedex. the only problem with them is that if you miss them, their drop centres are sometimes really far afield, depending on where you live.
i realize that these are all experiences based on receiving, not shipping, but i have extropolated that the people on the other end will experience the same 'receiver' experiences that i have.
usps/canada post generally has been the most successful, cheapest, but slowest. of course, canada post can expedite to almost the same efficiency as a courier service. . .almost.

Mostly Canada to Canada but sometimes USA.

Ups rates seems more reasonable but are a tad slower
Purolator I can say I've never dealt with them but I hear they are incorporated with cp as someone said earlier.
I try to stay away from cp as they are way too slow. 1-2 weeks with in Canada?
I like fedex myself cuz I work there lol. I just wanted to hear unbiased reviews

Cardinal is fantastic in Ontario they pick up at night and deliver before 7 am next day. Out of province I use Puro (air is next day anywhere in canada) and UPS for the US.

Personally I find the brokerage fees ridiculous with UPS for packages from the US. Use USPS and save yourself some money, if you are not in a huge rush.
Puro is good inside Canada. Never tried Cardinal...maybe next time.
Same. I won't order things if they are shipped UPS.
Pay shipping to the seller then pay more shipping at the door then get hit with a brokerage fee.

My only experience with UPS was them losing a 27" iMac Christmas present. It was listed as being on the truck. May have fallen off the back.
I like the white-collar attitude at FexEx, but not the rack rates.
Purolator ran up and stuck a tag on my door, ran back to the truck and drove off at 4:30 once, without knocking or ringing my doorbell.
So, if I'm going blue-collar, then Canada Post.
For personal packages I always use Canada Post/USPS. I always avoid UPS if at all possible due to the brokerage fees and the ridiculous pick-up location (Concord)--I will do whatever possible to NOT use them, even to the point of buying from a different seller/vender (even willing to pay more to not use UPS). I have also had good experiences with both Fed-ex and Purolator but the pick-up locations are not ideal.
The postal service may be a little slower but the brokerage fees are cheaper and if you are not home to sign the pick-up location is LOCAL!
BTW, I am not sure if UPS will leave a package at the UPS store for pick-up (if you are not home during delivery hours), last time I asked they told me I had to go to the store and ask if they will sign for me and hold the package!
