Fair asking price for 2007 Z750s

You selling or buying? I bought an 06 two seasons ago with twice as many kms but it had a givi case, touring screen and a few other goodies on it for $5k I think but I got a really good deal.

Nice bike, figure on changing a few things on it. The stock can is huge, heavy and gets incredibly hot, I put a CF one on. The seat needs something doing to it, I have an Airhawk pad which helps but I'm looking at reupholstering it with added gel/foam. A PowerCommander helps tame the bike's handling at lower revs and lets you get the most out of the slip-on.

Has the bike got any scrapes?

Looking to buy, bike's been dropped, however it's very minor damage, barely noticeable. It's all stock, and offered 5k for it, but I don't want to pay too much for something that would be overpriced. I like the bike, but not enough to drop extra dough on it if not needed.

Dropped while stationary? Mine too, damage was minimal. Does it have frame sliders? It's a good bike, 109HP and low insurance = lots of fun. Does a passable job as a tourer too.

5K sounds like a good price if you can get it as the bike has v. low kms.

Pretty much was stationary, while turning left allegedly. No frame sliders are on it. So should I try to eke out a lower offer on the bike assuming there's nothing wrong with it? Kinda hard to gauge with this bike as they didn't sell much which is why they discontinued it for 2007 in NA.

I would say if the damage is minimal, anywhere around 4500$ is a fair price. I bought my 06 z750s in June 09 for 5000$.
It had 8000kms on it. Great all around bike, the stock seat is terrible, I picked up a used Corbin for $200, it really helps.

cheers

If bike sellers were prudent and sold their bikes for what they are worth and without the garbage sentimental attachments they will sell them quick- nobody is going to pay an extra $2,000 just because you feel attached to it, its retarded.

I know it's just so ridiculous how high used bike prices are, buddy says that 5 grand is his rock bottom price but I'll have to re-negotiate it. It's been on sale since beginning of may.

These folks get offended when you throw them a reasonable offer, then you check back months later and the price is either the same or dropped down to my previous offer and they STILL can't offload it. I put my bike up for sale at a decent price, had 3 people come by to take a look and it was gone the next day. I could rant forever on the subject, but it's downright frustrating when you're searching for one.

This is the height of the season now so you might pay a premium. Why not split the difference at $4750 and ask for a lower receipt and see what extras he might throw in. For a bike with so few kms that's not too bad. By the way, if it's the black one can you sell me the left upper cowling and the clutch and engine covers when you get it please? :)

Serious note....how's the tire condition too? Not having to buy new rubber is a bonus.

It is a great bike, lots of fun.

Tires are the original, tread is fine, but they're approaching 5 years and may need replacement. It is a black one, and if I get it i'll be purchasing the lower fairings for the bike, cleans up the look a great deal. Performance wise it trounces the 650r and sv650s which I was also looking at. He did put in a new battery, but having such low kms and requiring a new battery makes me wonder...

I've replaced my battery on mine but I'm at 21k kms now. Tires might be OK depending on how the bike was stored but if they look cracked and dry talk to Petes Superbikes and get some Michelin Pilot Roads 2CT, great tires for the bike. If you want to change the can look at Delkevic, you can get a great slip-on for a lot less than a 2 brothers etc. I have a Delkevic CF pipe and it's a lot lighter and runs so much cooler.

Just out of interest, where are you looking at the full fairings? I've never seen them.

Edit: Don't be worried about the low kms and the battery, the guy obviously didn't ride the bike and if it sat without a tender it probably just drained.

That's pretty pricey for those parts (600 bucks?). I got a belly pan for mine that looks pretty good for hundredish.
