i signed on with these clowns 4 years ago and was paying 145 or so a month for a 1000 cc vtwin sport touring bike. being my first bike and seeing that no one would offer me cheaper insurance i ate it up and stuck with them. after a couple years i upgraded to a gsxr 1000 and the insurance went up to 158 a month including fire and theft that i added for about 10 bucks or so a month. recently i started to shop around for cheaper insurance, SF wanted a small fortune for me to bring my truck and house over, basically my 09 sierra crew cab is 120 a month through my then current insurance provider and statefarm wanted 270 a month for the same truck, but was willing to drop 700 bucks off the bike if i brought my truck over, so lets see, 700 off on the bike, but 150 a month more for the truck, thats 1800 more than im paying now, and with the bike savings its still 1100 more than what i pay plus they want 200 more for my house. searching around here the other week i came across an allstate thread and thought id call them, talked to an older fella, i ended up adding my wifes 07 civic to the mix, all three vehicles are 297 a month, thats 19 bucks more than im paying now but ive got an extra car on the policy for that, hell yeah, house is about the same as the old place, the wife was paying 135 a month for her car through caa, so everything bundled together once i ran the numbers for the savings, i ended up saving $1233 a year switching to allstate, so anyone whos over 30 with 3+ years riding and a full m license id suggest calling allstate, great prices great service too

I just dropped State Farm as they're not competitive at all. My bike went up from 79 to 82 with TD but I'm saving HUNDREDS per month, not per year, PER MONTH! I was blown away and I have a perfect driving record. Similar to you, they were the cheapest for everything about 6 years ago.

2 cars, home and bike, it's a small fortune I'm saving and happy I got fed up and made a few calls!

a buddy of mine moved both of his cars, his house, cottage and life insurance from state farm too, allstate was able to beat the rate he had and hes been witht hem for years and had all of the loyalty discounts and everything. plus they just raised his rates with that april bs. and my rates drop again this year as my wife will have been driving for 20 years in october, so thats a bonus. i really like all of the discounts these guys give you, even if you have a caa membership youll get a discount with them. lots of perks

I have:
2013 Ford Focus
2011 Honda CBR600RR
Renter's policy

Doing comparision last year, SF was the most expensive for the car and bike was comparable (separately). However, when combied all 3 together, it was
197.13/mth for car
71.27/mth for bike1
3.50/mth for renter's
totaling 281.90/mth
I was living in Oakville.

Now I moved to Mississauga, just about ~3km away from previous address, and the car insurance jumped up 87.54/mth and the bike jumped up 3.97/mth with renter's staying the same, totalling 367.41/mth. So...
278.67/mth for car
75.24/mth for bike1
13.50/mth for renter's
totaling 367.41/mth

I was outraged and called TD. They did have significantly cheaper car insurance, but the bike would be significantly more.1
163/mth for car
214/mth for bike
19.17/mth for renter's
totaling 396.17/mth
Now I didn't check for my previous address, but I suspect that it'll be slightly more expensive than SF all combined.

So for me, even though it's disgusting how much I got quoted for the car, the total combined cost is still less with SF.

My gripe is now with the Mississauga drivers. Please learn to drive properly and get into less accidents:banghead:.
Also, hoping to get full M soon so I can shop around more.

If you are over 30, call allstate. You will save boatloads...

I called Allstate but they will only insure bikes if I have my car insure with them too. I told her my ride is a Duc she said she will get back with me in 15 mins to see if it's blacklisted.......she never called back.

Call this guy Grant -> GRedfern@allstate.ca (416 231 5641 x5011)

Straight to the point, no BS.

And to the OP i agree. Switched my bike and cars to allstate recently and saved a nice amount myself. Funny how i've been with state farm for years and every year its a lil more...yet i had zero claims and zero tickets.

Also with allstate every year that you dont make a claim your deductible goes down by 100 bucks...

that was my problem too, when i irst started riding allstate wouldnt take me, it was my late 20's and i had just got my m1, but you give it some time, ride a few years and keep insurance on the bike that whole time and theyll take you on, plus they have all kinds of great discounts too for just about everything

got my M today so I called allstate for a quote on my R6. Straight away she told me they won't insure it, they only do cruisers and touring. wtf. ok so I say I know a guy who has his gixxer 1000 with allstate. She says oh they must have made an exception for them because they have other policies (i thought they weren't allowed to do this, bit whatever) I said fine quote my truck, her car and our house. Now she has to get an underwriters exception.and will call me.back tomorrow. not off to a good start

I recently got a PM from someone who called Grant and was told they cannot insure only a bike. Highly doubt it because I did just that with Grant a few weeks ago.

My guess - she doesn't want you in her risk portfolio so she's giving you the typical agency BS runaround.

Or, you inadvertently said YUT UGH and she happens to speak gixxerbro fluently.

odd, just switched to all state today actually, $64/month on an 08 1kRR, clean record, 2 cars and a house with them too

Because the payout for your vehicle is cheap, hell it's even cheap if you die.

It's the weak obese *** cracks that break **** or think they broke **** when they get a little bump from behind (and the fraudsters).

I remember how these scumballs from Sate Farm wanted $1,700 to ensure my 350cc dual-sport motorycle in 2004.... called Duffy Insurance and they insured it for $325 a year, that tells you what kind of company this is.
