I prefer the F800GS to the GSA. IMO, 50 extra lbs adds nothing... except unnecessary weight. The wet weight is venturing into R1200GS territory, but at the disadvantage of making less power.
I think if you're super-tall like Ryan the extra seat height might be more comfortable. But it uses the same suspension as the normal F8GS, so if you're not going to benefit from the extra leg-room, the power-to-weight penalty is a big drawback.
