i dont no if this is a real thing or not but im hoping it is. is there something i can buy to slip over or into my exhaust to silence it while it warms up? i have a 2006 ex250 and it takes forever to warm up, got a muzzy pipe on it, i really like the sound but this morning the neighbour had been woken up cuz its loud and she came outside and waited for me, and her dad has cancer so im especially trying to help out and let the man get his sleep, but it has to warm up and she understood that, but im just trying to not piss off the neighbourhood. i still want the sound, so i dont want a permanent solution like repacking the exhaust, just wondering if there is such a thing as a cap that could silence the exhaust while she wamrs up. thanks, simon

You need to make, or buy a silencer insert or baffle. I made one for my Hindle silencer on a lathe using aluminum. I made the o.d of the insert the same as the i.d of the silencer exit with a smaller hole in the middle for the exhaust. It was retained by a setscrew.

I am under the same scenario my slash cut Jardine pipes are so damn loud even after I packed it with moosehead packing, so now I changed back to stock pipes, (but not for long) I am seriously thinking of making a muffler insert myself or getting one from online, as someone has suggested here. What a pain it is!!!! Ken.
