Hello kids, Cassandra here in my very first post! Thought I'd take a few moments to introduce myself and why I'm here ...
I grew up with motorbikes as a kid, my parents being avid riders all throughout my childhood. Dad was always keen on getting my brother and I on the back of the bike (not at the same time!), teaching us how to lean into turns and tune-ups in the driveway. I wanted to carry on the tradition, so to speak.
There's also the economic reason; motorbikes, plainly put, are cheaper to buy, insure and maintain than a 'cage'. I need transportation and a car is way out of my budget right now. I also feel that if more people drove motorbikes on the road, we would have more considerate drivers. Can I have a witness on that?
My boyfriend Nick (you'll see him here as MusicMan) and I are signing up for Learning Curves' safety course in October, and afterwards will be looking to getting the bikes we've been salivating over for a year or so. Me? Go cruiser or go home- since I'm a young lady of petite stature, I've been looking at the Yamaha V-Star 250, and get a little more power as I get better.
Looking forward to making new riding buddies in the start of the new riding season! Any girl biker gangs out there looking for new members?
Ride safe! -Cassandra
