"Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a two-vehicle Collision that took place on July 27th, 2024, at approximately 9:40 p.m. Police along with the Essa fire department and Simcoe paramedics responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle on County Road 10 and 20th Sideroad. The driver of the motorcycle a 61-year-old male from Essa was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
Count Road 10 was closed for majority of the night while the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team attended the scene. The investigation remains on going.
Anyone who may have witnessed or has video/dash camera footage of the collision and has not yet spoken to with police is asked to contact the Nottawasaga OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122."
