Anyone know a good place to buy a trailer out of the states? I'm going to be shopping for a a 5x10 or maybe a 6x12 enclosed either end of this season or in the early spring. Just trying to save a few bucks if I can. Suggestions on a good dealer in SWO also welcome.

four hrs south of deals Gap, in Georgia. There's aplace that sells single axle 6x10s for 2 grandish......but you will have hoops to jump thru with transport Canada to get it home I think.

If you buy here, go to Jensen Trailers in Oshawa. they aren't the cheapest, but they only use the best frames, floors, skins, lights etc. They refuse to sell junk. And they will custom build you anythin you want. I found them when I was looking to have a 6.5 x 14, double axle made.

Jensen Trailers in Oshawa supported R.A.C.E. motorcycle racing at Shannonville for a number of years. So supporting businesses that support the sport is always good. While you are there you should put a bug in their ear about sponsoring a class in SOAR for next year! parillaguy

Importing a trailer of this sort is a piece of piss. But there's really no cost saving if you're buying new. I costed it all out at the start of this season and by the time you'd added on gas, RIV fee, possible hotel overnighter and your own time to drive somewhere there and back it wasn't worth it. Even used prices were very close both side of the border.

However, if you find a bargain then I stand to be corrected.

I have bought 2 new trailers in the states in the last 5 year. A 6x12 V noise and a 8.5 x 20. Few comments: 1 both have been cheaper then I could find within a 250Km radius in Ontario. 2 I ordered both of them how I wanted and got them quickly, even the larger trailer places in my area wanted to only sell you what they had or the wait was like 8 weeks to wait for the next Truck load. RIV is easy if you have your paperwork in line.

My last trailer came from premier custom trailers in Michigan and I was very happy with them and the United product.

When i was shopping for my new trailer 6 x 14, i called everywhere from Ottawa to Windsor. I was even looking in the US, but the prices were comparable to up here.

For a 6 x 14 prices varies from $7500 to $5000 plus taxes etc. I actually found a guy who imports from the US, and his prices were the best hands down (IMHO) on trailers.
I called him up, and gave him a deposit on the phone. A few days later went and picked it up right from Georgetown.

Woah...those are cheap. $3200 for a 6x12

Man if you posted this when I bought my bike I could get you a hell of a deal... The guy I bought my bike off was selling a 6x12 fully enclosed almost brand new and the bike for 6 grand.. I would have taken the trailer in a heartbeat but my car cant pull it so I made a deal for just the bike.. I should have bought both and just sold the trailer but anyway... I doubt the guy still has the trailer but I could give you his number if you wanted to try

LOE trailer sales in Amherst,NY. Large dealer of enclosed and open trailers. Great people to work with. If they can't get it, they will.

Via Trailers in Delaware, ON (20 min west of London), that's where I got my old 6x10 aluminum enclosed, was $3600 out the door
