Electrical problem on bike

I Posted earlier this week,

but came to no resolution.

Long story short, one of the signals got knocked of my bike. (unrepairable)

And the signals aren't working.

The signal is not repairable,

So i know i need a new signal.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me a hand on hooking it up
As mechanics are guaging me big time.

Any help would be appreciative

thank you

Post some pictures of what you're looking at, the old and the new. The inside of the fairing as well.

You should have replied to the old thread as anyone interested in your post would have seen that you replied to the thread.

Also tell us what general area you live in, for if it is Durham Region I'd say come on over and I'll take a look for you.

i will post pictures when i get home,

its actually the back signal that was damaged, so inside fairing dont think is neccessary.

where abouts in durham,
I wouldn't mind going for a ride

I'm at Thickson road and Columbus.

On my previous bikes, the signals connected on the inside of the fairing, with bullet connectors, so replacing a broken right turn signal was largely a matter of working under the fender with a wrench and a tube of dielectric grease. :)

Not sure if any help, if you have one signal light to replace would it not be easy to remove other signal to inspect how works since will be the same configerations, unless you
are not getting current then check fuse/loose wire/anything of that nature...do you have a owners manual.

just go buy a new signal and take off your fairing. See where the wire is running to then swap the old one for the new one. Its as easy as plugging something into the outlet...its not an electrical problem.

when you say signals aren't working, NONE are working? Do they not come on or stay on but not blink?? On mine if one isn't working the other one won't blink, it just stays solid.

It's possible that when the signal got taken out it shorted and took out a fuse. That could explain all the signals not working.

if they are regular bulbs use continuity [resistance] test if the bulbs are burned or not. No continuity - burned. Then check the voltage in the socket, if none, try with a different ground.

Just buy a simple ohmvolt meter and see if getting electricty to bulb if not trace back kind of basic logic....remember frame is grounded(neg wire to frame) get a service manual.
