Eddy Shack

He was one of my favourites, a gutsy player before the primadonna league took over. Clear the track, here comes Shack.
RIP.

A bit of a legend. Will be missed.

RIP number 23.

Guys like him were the early building blocks that helped to make the NHL what it is today. He was indeed an entertainer and much beloved by many during his playing days. Perhaps not the most talented player ever born but what he lacked in skill, he more than made up for in energy and personality!

You've earned your rest sir! RIP

Met him a year or so ago at an auto body shop. I was delivering some stuff and had my hands full trying to open the door. I hear this unforgettable voice from inside say 'This aint Star Trek, you need hands to open the f'n door'. He opened it for me and, even though its been numerous years since I had seen a pic of him, I knew it was him. Same mustache, big cowboy hat and that voice and smile. Apparently he had a classic car in there someplace being worked on and had nothing better to do than hang out and watch.. Owner said he certainly was entertaining.

Watched him play down at the Gardens. Seats were $2 back then.

Damn. That sucks. My uncle was his neighbour for many years.
We had one of the Chicago goalies who lived around the corner. His kid brought his '61 Stanley Cup replica in for show and tell. My dad was friend's with the head referee's brother.
