Before I forget this one I thought I'd post it up.
Moose River Rd is a road that you can use coming from the west to get towards route 28 and then onto Old Forge. It's very twisty, lots of elevation changes. Mostly 55 mph limit but watch for the 30 limits near houses. Surface in great condition but I saw some sand about so be careful. It follows the Moose River right up to 28 where you cross at a very picturesque bridge.
Also the 28 and more so the 28N has to be one of the best roads near me for sheer enjoyment value. I took the 28N up towards Tupper Lake yesterday and it was an absolute blast. I've now done the 28N along the entire length and it is fantastic everywhere. Forests, cliffs, mountains, lakes and rivers, elevation changes and tons of curves.
