Apparently someone read my post from September 24'th here and decided to actually try that.

And then...the Flintstone stopping method. The stupid, it burns.

Great photo of the guy however, I'm sure that karma will catch up to him in short order.

2003-2004 Kawasaki ZX6R. It's possible that there was a similar-age Z750 or similar model that used the same tail light.
 
do they teach the Fred Flintstone brake method these days?

How did he get away, his gear shifter is on the floor in the pic. People must have caught on as well.

so long as the guy is in first or second gear, you can already go 20-50km/h which is more then enough to get away downtown....
I had to go downtown yesterday for a doctors appointment, i pretty much didn't shift out of 2nd on the 404 and hardly out of first off the highway...
 
Another reason to licence ebikes. EVERY bike needs a numbered plate so cops don't have to guess what it is.
 
And bring back bicycle license plates too. Cities are spending a lot of cash on often underused bicycle lanes.

That's just stupid.
We're trying to promote people to use walk/bike/transit. putting license plates on bicycle is just a great way to stop people from doing that + it looks just as dumb as front plates.
 
I'm cranky about the "tour de France"out this way. They regularly ride 3 or 4 abreast putting themselves in danger and hold up traffic with their self entitled antics.
And the ones riding to work running traffic lights and stop signs are a huge hazard.
