Durham region ride - Mon or Tues this week? Newbie friendly!

Ride is on! Meet Tuesday 6:30 pm at Fifth Wheel Truck Stop in Bowmanville. M1 riders welcome.
Route will be:
Start - Fifth Wheel Truck Stop, Bowmanville
Newcastle - Port Hope via Lakeshore Rd
Port Hope - Millbrook via Toronto Rd/Cty Rd. 10
Find your way home from Millbrook. (I will be taking some backroads to Taunton/Harmony in Oshawa if you care to join me.)

most likely evening, but could be in the day as well.... depending on interest.
 
Sounds like a good time, I'd be down. Off work at 5, if I take the 407 I can be in Whitby by 5:45-6
 
Looks like Tuesday evening is firming up. The ride could be shortened a bit if we need a later start time for out of town riders to arrive (6:30 pm start?). If we meet at the 5th Wheel in Bowmanville, the ride could be shortened thus.... http://goo.gl/maps/GO6Ea (according to Google Maps, this is 1h, 35m)

This ride has been posted as Newbie-friendly, so if anyone can't ride the 400 series highways, chime in... route can be further adjusted to suit your limitations. Also note...as a Newbie-friendly ride, riding will be at the posted speed limit.
 
I'm down for whatever, but personally would take lakeshore route to port hope. up to millbrook and give them the option of riding highway back on 115/401. I'm starting to get know the roads up there, some nights I go a little further and cut back west on one of the concession roads.

Awesome, I rode it back in April when it was just awful lol. See you tonight on my orange popsicle.
 
Hopefully someone can respond: Odds are very good I can make it, does anyone know if there are noise by-laws?
 
Love to see you Macs! We're going to be mostly in the countryside, so noise shouldnt be much of an issue. There is a slight amount of urban riding though.
