Dunlop Sportsmax Q2 deal or no deal

I have been looking for a new set of tires for the last three weeks prior to the start of the riding season and decided on the Q2's.

As I have been shopping arpund the internet I found a great deal for the 120/70R17 190/55R17 pair for $218 USD and $10 shipping to Buffalo. Before I pull the trigger is there any other shops that come relatively close to this price? I always want to exhaust all options to purchase in Canada first and do not mind a paying a slight slight premium if necessary.

Thanks for the assistance.

I have, with taxes and shipping it is close to $300. I heard that pro6 carries dunlop's as well however they don't provide any pricing online.

Not sure where you live, but by the time you figure in gasoline and time to get to and from Buffalo, plus duty and GST it might not be much different than Pete's price.

Call Competition Cycle in Whitby is got the best price in town. Ask for Dave...1 905 728 1714

Try Sirius Motorsports in Cambridge/Kitchener.
$275 for 12/70/17 front and 180/55/17 rear.
Provide a link to a better price in Canada and they'll beat it.
Hours are pretty wonky and hard to get in to, but they'll ship as well.

Pro6 claim to have and to match (local?) the best Dunlop prices. Probably worth a call.

Thanks for the feedback, I will call the above mentioned shops tomorrow. As for driving to Buffalo, I have to travel there for work every month so I try and parlay my shipments to that schedule. It not a big deal.

Side note but related, anyone know where to get the Dunlop Roadsmart 2 in Canada? Everywhere I called said they could not get it :( From reviews it seems to have grip on par with or slightly less than the q2 but with higher mileage.

I called Pete about those tires. He said he will have them in April....(I called in December 2011...) they are already out in Europe...
