so i ended up at GP bikes today, seemed like the had a demo day going on. As i'm looking at purchasing a new bike over the winter I wanted to check out the Ducati and Triumph bikes as i had never seen on or sat on one. All i can say is WOW! these bikes are amazing!! now the tough choice a BMW F800S (used) or ST, Triumph 675 or Ducati streetfighter. Anyone recall what the prices of these are like come Nov/Dec ?

I'm a big Triumph fan, but could not justify the cost of the Tripples at GP Bikes last fall. Instead I picked up an f800s.

Ductati twins and Triumph triples are both magic motors, with character is spades. Can't go wrong with either one.
 
I went to GP last week and fell in love with the street triple r. I want one but not really wanting to pay 11+ for one. Hopefully there will be some decent priced used ones in the next season or two.
 
The Streetfighter is on a whole other level than the rest on your list, it's got like 50 or so more horses than that Triumph and almost twice the displacement. If you can spend a few extra $$$, Streetfighter is what you should be riding home on, period.

how do you like the F800S ? i saw a few for sale (used) for 7500...not a bad deal w/ low km's. i think it will come down to which i can get at the best price.... i'd be happy with any of these.

Probably the same price they are now... When I bought my Daytona a couple years ago, most dealers weren't discounting their bikes at the end of the season. Maybe things have changed now but I doubt it. If you are looking for an end of season discount, look at the dealer in Calgary or perhaps the US.
