dropped my bike

dropped it today going down a driveway while trying to turn around at the same time.
was at 1 km/h probably.
yea, i am upset at myself no doubt. got too anxious perhaps.

how do i/how did you stop dropping your bike in the beginning.?

Don't worry about it, it happens. Now that your bike is wounded, you can practice low speed manoeuvreing in a parking lot.

It's much easier to fall over while turning, at a light, unless you step in something slippery, you shouldn't have a problem.

Think of this as an opportunity. Everyone makes mistakes, but those that learn from them become better riders. Think about why it happened, and understand that in similar circumstances you will make a different choice next time. Nothing to be afraid of, it happens to all riders, whether they admit it or not.

I dropped my bike on my driveway a few weeks ago because I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing...and this is the first time I've ever dropped a bike.. I crashed my first one but that's a different kind of drop. And it happens to everyone...not just in the beginning it can happen anytime even to people who have been riding for a long time.

Long time rider with my share of drops along the way..... All you can do is pick it up, dust yourself off and be off on the road again! A little wiser and way more humbler!
Cheers 8)

What he said. Happened to me at 0kph getting it off the centre stand. No damage. Just pick it up, have a laugh and ride off.

Dropped and crashed some bikes over the years. Damn happy to be alive. Pick it up, live and learn and always live your life to the fullest. :)

Haven't dropped it before, the closest I got to dropping was when I started the bike in gear the 2nd week. It lunged forward, but I luckily caught it and had to basically dead-lift the bike back to upright.

it happens..dont get frazzled..the more you think bout it the worse it will be..as they all said..brush it off..learn from it but dont focus on it

thanks for the encouragements.
i remember what happened. I was turning with steering locked to right side going kind of down hill. I pulled the front brakes too hard, so i lost the balance.

Does anyone know where I can get quality fold-able mirrors for a good price?

Would probably depend on what kind of bike you have.

Sucks that you dropped your bike. **** happens.... I probably would have if I had a bigger/heavier bike.

Dropped my bike 3rd week after getting it. Turning into a plaza and the van in front of me hit the brakes, I hit mine too but the bike was leaning to the side and it dropped going at most 3 km/h. Broke the arm that held my mirror as a result and bro do I know how you feel. The bike was never dropped before this and and its my first bike and first drop. As mentioned before, understanding why you dropped it will help prevent it from happening again. As for your question about mirrors, I was able to pick up some exact replacements on ebay for cheap... quality seems on par with the stock mirror. Good luck!
