There's a new one on the market.
Looks cool. The only problem I see is that it uses microSD cards instead of SD cards.

$350 @ Bestbuy....
is it any better than the GoPro Hero?

Received a bad review on engadget and I agree with them about this. It's too over priced

Bad review? They don't know what they are talking about. They are comparing the GoPro to it but fail to mention all the negatives of the GoPro. Read the reviews of the reviews and you'll see that Engadget's review is garbage.

Yes...
Rotating lens
Wireless remote
Standard camera mount
Super cheap replacement batteries
Better video quality (says most people)
LCD screen to review footage, aim the camera and navigate the menus
HDMI out
MIC input

Compare the price of the Drift to a GoPro 1080p with the LCDscreen.... Drift still cheaper.

If I didn't have a Drift HD170 already I would jump on this in a heartbeat

I'm looking at this as well. I saw some videos earlier and it seems to pick up a lot of wind noise like the contour but you could probably fix that by plugging in a mic to block out the external pick up.

Waiting for price drop...

I was just about to post about this...Thank you Search feature.

I ordered it yesterday and I just got the shipment confirmation. I'm soo looking forward to this.
Especially with the boxing day MegaPack, it includes all the awesome accessories that make the purchase so worth it.

Anyone have experience with this? So far, all the features and accessories have weighted itself over the GoPro2, to me atleast.
I plan to motovlog with it so the fact that it's waterproof, has a hands-free mic, as well as a wireless remote really places it as a contender to the GoPro2.
Additional features:
LCD screen to review and level the cam
Rotatable Lense
Fantastic Night mode

I'll post up a follow up review after messing around with it. I can't really find a good personal review anywhere.

It's water resistant not waterproof. Also, since it is not enclosed in a case like a go pro so the lense is exposed and more likely to get damaged and have to be replaced more often.

It's definately got some pros though like the display and the remote.

FYI. Gopro is releasing a wifi bacpack + remote sometime in February 2012 and it'll be compatible with gopro 1 and 2. Apparently the remote will have a display also and you may switch between modes, stop/start recording, turn off or on the cam. I imagine the remote will be anywhere from 60-90$ or may be way more. we'll have to wait and see.
I agree with rafiki911, the exposed lense will cause problems and no wonder one of their packages come with an extra lens in it.
I'll probably buy it because of it's rotatable lense and stealthy look. when mounted on the side of your helmet it won't stick out, not bulky like a gopro.

as far as i know i have seen some that come with a bunch of mounts and seen some that come with extra sd cards and diving enclosures, and spare batteries unless best buy asked for less stuff for retail.

looks like it comes with standard mounts.

doesn't mention the handlebar mount thou. it does come with flat surface mounts which i didn't get with the x170 original version.
u win some u loose some mounts i guess.
